The first-ever Alexander Daas showroom just opened in the Gaslamp. This ultra luxe line of prescription and non-prescription specs has a celeb following that includes Jenny McCarthy and Sammy Hagar. Brooklyn-born Daas, a licensed optician, will be in-store to dispense prescription lenses and to fit and style his designs, which are handmade in Japan. Pairs can cost upwards of $1,000 and come with an Alexander Daas eyewear chain, pendant, and collapsible hard case that folds completely flat. Daas will also donate a portion of each sale to the customer’s charity of choice.
