Since opening, Ironside Fish & Oyster has had trouble keeping up with the demand for Kumamotos, Kusshis, and Kumiais. Yet oysters occupy just a corner of the biggest project yet from Consortium Holdings (Craft & Commerce, Neighborhood, etc.). It’s a cavernous space with a massive skylight, Jell-O mold-green pier benches, octopus lamps, and metalwork from local designer Paul Basile. Although Consortium’s known for its cocktails, Ironside’s kitchen is its most impressive to date, under two-star Michelin chef Jason McLeod and chef de cuisine JoJo Reyes (ex-Herringbone). There’s salmon pastrami, lobster rolls, chowder—you name it. But so far, oysters reign. 1654 India Street, Little Italy
